Hello all I am having problems with my Apple TV3 dropping out audio for a split second when using home sharing from my iMac to Apple tv. Its only the audio the video and everything else works flawlessly. I just purchased a Sony Tv with the ARC feature and a Sony receiver and Surround Sound. Apple Tv is up to date and connected directly to my tv's HDMI input. My iMac is running wirelessly to my Apple Airport Express and my Apple Tv is also connected to the Airport. Currently the audio must travel from the computer to apple tv to the tv then out of the tv into my Sony receiver and out to my speakers. The Apple Tv has never given me any problems in the past when connected to my old tv with no seperate audio video receiver and surround sound. If I connect the apple tv directly to the hdmi on the audio video receiver it also works with no problems. Only when the apple tv is plugged into the tv's hdmi port. I have tried swapping hdmi cabbles with no success.

This is not my video but an exact replication of what happens,

Oh and if I watch youtube on the apple tv or anything integrated it works perfect its only when home sharing from my iMac
