I have a 2015 32GB 4th Generation Apple TV box. The last few times I've used it to stream video from my Apple Mac desktop the video and audio is out of sync. I've tried adjusting various settings but nothing seems to work (except for the first 10-15 minutes). I've found that if I rewind it 30-60 seconds back it rights itself, again for the first 10-15 minutes before going out of sync again. The apps like YouTube, Netflix etc seem to be working fine, only when I stream from Mac to Apple TV. I'm streaming from a new 202O Mac with OS Big Sur.
Any ideas how to resolve this issue?
 
airplay is very picky about networking, and while it "just works" most of the time, sometimes it doesn't

two things that might help

rebooting your router.
Hard wire devices to ethernet if you can.

Sorry for late response. Thankyou for your suggestions. I have never had a problem with it for the 5 years I have had it. Seems to be just a recent thing. I've tried messing about with the settings and unplugging the box from the wall all day, and also restarts, but nothing seems to rectify this. I have up to now just been rewinding what I am watching by about 20 seconds and all seems good for about 15 minutes.

yeah seems to be a problem for many of us. I think I read on one of the forums that someone tried the current TvOS beta and seems to have corrected the problem so hopefully next update fixes this
A very interesting thread, Thankyou. One of the posts mentions that 'Just installed the latest beta that was released Today and while I haven’t done any extensive testing I’m happy to report it looks as though it has been fixed.'
Excuse my ignorance, but how do you install the latest 'beta'? Is it something I do on the Apple TV or on my Mac desktop from which I'm streaming?
