Apple TV Box with Starlink and NO Airplay problem

I have an older Apple TV box. We recently signed up for starlink with a Mini. I cannot get Airplay to work with my setup. Here is what I have:

The starlink router is broadcasting the network info to my:
Apollo Fusion ms-RA770 stereo. I can set this radio as a client and I can log into the Starlink wifi
Apple TV box. I can log into the starlink wifi as well
Television is connected to the Apple TV box via HDMI and it is also logged into the Starlink wifi

I can play videos fom the Apple TV box to the stereo no problem. When I change the audio output I can select airplay but it defaults back to the TV speakers. Its like it cant see the speakers tied to my Apollo Fusion radio.

Yes I have reset, rebooted, everything many times. About ready to drop kick it all!

Any ideas how to get Airplay to play well with this setup?

Do you mean you can play video on the Apple TV (watch on the television) and send the audio to the stereo (listen on connected speakers)? If this isn't happening via Airplay 2 over WiFi, then how is the Apple TV audio getting to the stereo?
