apple tv can not connect to wifi network

have apple tv 2 cannot connect to my airport extreme.
it was connected before, it lost the connection and will not connect.
the apple tv is jailbroken if I do a reset will I lose the jailbreak?
I know the airport extreme is working fine my iphones & macbooks connect fine.
