Apple TV Composite

    I'm thinking about buying an Apple TV 2, but I don't have an HD TV. I found this cable to connect HDMI to the Red/Yellow/White receivers on a TV, (I think they're called composite). Will these work with the Apple TV?

    Nope. Read the reviews. You would need a digital to analog converter box. The converter box will generally cost you around $100.

    I second this, but you can find some for around $50 if you shop hard enough.

    Better yet consider the money saved on not buying a converter for your old SDTV (it'll look like crap anyway) and buy a 16:9 TV with HDMI. They can be had pretty cheap, check Craigslist or even look for an open-box sale. I picked up a 24" RCA LCD for $200 a couple of years ago.
