I know that people have issues with privacy and having the Apple TV's Siri Remote always listening, but just like the iPhone, Apple could have an option to turn this feature off.

Siri is so limited on the tvOS, which is pretty sad.

I agree, I’m surprised how limited it is on tvOS.

I wouldn’t mind if the remote could listen for Hey Siri, but the problem would probably be the same as with my iphone—I don’t know where it is half the time (at home), and unless it’s very close by, I have to yell to get it to hear me, and even then it sometimes doesn’t. The only time I find it useful is when it’s close enough to activate siri manually but my hands are full or I don’t feel like pressing a button.

The homepod is nice because you can whisper from across the room and it will hear you every time. It would be great if Apple made a cheap version of the homepod with the same quality mics, but low quality speaker, just for siri connected interactions at home, not for music listening. But doesn’t seem like something Apple would do.

This would be AWESOME if it WASN'T AN APP. No way I want to open this every time I turn on my Apple TV. If this was part of the dashboard / home screen, I'd be all over it. But "another" app to have to open. NO THANKS!

Free idea to the developer: create a dynamic Top Shelf that updates with a compressed version of the dashboard. That way, users can just place it in the first slot and it’ll be always on display a as soon as they turn on their AppleTV — even before opening the app.
