Apple TV displays thin white vertical lines on screen

Hello,

If I'm using my Apple TV and decide to see what's on cable, I pause whatever I'm watching on Apple TV and switch TV inputs, when I come back, the Apple TV displays these white vertical lines on the screen. They don't go away only until I restart the Apple TV, why does this happen?
