No - its for service from Apple only (unless you want to hack your AppleTV - see: http://www.appletvhacks.net/).

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU like Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/420.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0 Mobile/4A102 Safari/419.3)

When apple bring this feature out and add a DVD slot to the front I'll get the apple tv.

Na DVD drive won't come due to iTunes rentals now!!

Extra storage they could do but seeing as they promoting it now without the computer I think they hoping all ISP's will be making there broadband pipes bigger.

Oh its a dream too far I think. . .

I purchased a new DVD player last May - one month after getting my AppleTV. Guess how many times I have used the DVD player since then? Once - yep just once - it's handy to have but I never use it, and now with iTunes rentals I may never need to use it.
