I am considering adding a projector to my bedroom and hooking it up to an Apple TV. Could I also possibly use the projector as a second (mirroring) monitor for my iMac 5k? I thought I might just use a wireless keyboard. Is there any problem with this? Can you basically use your iMac from any room in the house if you have a second monitor and Apple TV?

The distance is short and easily covered by Bluetooth.

I while back, I was able to AirPlay World of Warcraft from my iMac to my ATV3 with very little latency issues. I had a BT mouse and keyboard and they worked perfectly.

I would only do this for PVE and RAIDs, I wouldn't trust it to respond fast enough for PVP. There was an occasional lag spike, but not often enough for me to go back to the computer.

The ATV3 was on a different floor than the iMac. It was done with now-older AirPort equipment and the older version of AirPlay.

I assume that it would only be better now with newer equipment and AirPlay 2.

Hmm, so with Apple TVs you really can have your computer in every room of the house? Just have a wireless keyboard and some nice projectors? I'm imaginingg just doing all my work in bed with a giant 120" 4K projection on the wall. There are no disadvantages at all except slight occasional lag during gaming (I don't game these days)? I wouldn't need my laptop anymore. I already have everything except the projector.
