^ THIS.

I feel the same way and was typing a response to a FB 'friend' when I decided, no, she likes to create drama and her tone in her initial post was of such disgust that clearly stating the facts would be useless.

I liked the Peanuts specials and when we had kids, we'd sometimes miss them on TV because we missed the date, didn't hear about what time, etc. So I purchased the TV editions on iTunes several years back and the kids have loved watching them whenever, and how often, they choose. Now...the TV+ versions are a bit clearer and brighter/bolder with the Dolby Vision and 4K output.

It is only available on Apple TV, not any broadcast channel. EVERY Facebook post on Apple TV has whiners complaining about how they can't watch them on broadcast TV anymore.

First of all, Apple BOUGHT the rights. The 'fault' lies in those who SOLD the rights.

Second, if you're that much of a fan, WHY don't you OWN the DVD by now. So help me understand, you'd rather watch it on network TV WITH commercials than your OWN DVD with NO commercials or Apple TV (free for 3 days) in 4K?!?!?!?

Sorry, I just had to vent about that even though I know that most on here are not those complaining.

Perhaps it evokes a nostalgic flood of good memories to those who grew up watching it on network TV during their childhood years. It does not make sense as you write, just buy the DVD, but things that evoke emotional responses often don't make logical sense.

I have a bunch of my favorite movies on my Directv Genie DVR, some of those I have on DVD, I never play the DVD's but I sometimes will play them on the DVR, why, I don't know but if it were easier to set up, I'd love to have 50 of my favorite movies on a server like service instead of on DVDs, doesn't make sense but I almost never play a DVD movie.

And with a movie like jukebox, it would have to fast forward as smooth as the Genie DVR, not certain the interfaces of what is currently out there is the same, I'm thinking of Movies Anywhere or whatever it has morphed into.
