To be fair, I find it overly silly myself, but I’ll let the dude do what he wants to do (especially considering that I’d want the same courtesy extended to me). My question is why did MacRumors decide to post this story? It’s a non-story, it’s the tech news website equivalent of the local news “cute baby panda” stories.

I refuse to watch TV of any kind on an iPad or iPhone with the exception of streaming sports so that I can play the audio through a speaker and have something to glance at for replays in the garage. If I want to watch movies or shows I have big screens for that.

If you put a 12" iPad 20 inches from your face (as I do), that's roughly equivalent to having an 80" tv on the wall across the room. I find it adequately immersive.
