My google skills are failing me at trying to figure something out. I was thinking of donating an Apple TV to our apartment complex to be installed in our gym. What would be the best way to set this up? I figured out the Apple Fitness+ part of it and how to use that without being logged in.

What are some pitfalls of trying to attempt this setup? Would there have to be a default Apple ID signed in at all times? What am I not thinking about that could cause issues?

I just thought now that Fitness+ is out, it would be nice to use the studio at our onsite gym to have a little more room than our apartment. Thanks for any guidance you guys can give!!!

It will be stolen. The remote(s) will disappear. It will be bricked when someone unplugs it while it’s trying to update (that blinking light means it should be rebooted, right?). You’ve touched on the Apple ID issue but in this situation there’s no good answer.

Just because you know, love and respect the ATV don’t assume that everyone else will.

Keep your ATV in your gym bag, connect it before your workout then take it with you when you’re done.

I was thinking the same thing. But I was thinking of giving people the benefit of the doubt. I am gonna bring mine over and see how it goes. Just thought it would be nice to not have to hook it up every time.

Make sure that you have enable purchases turned off, or else you could end up with a lot of charges for movie/ TV show/ music, etc purchases.
