Not my favorite service but certainly good content on there. Calling it Apple TV+ was a boneheaded move (not as bad as dropping "HBO" for "Max"). They could have called it so many things, Apple Show (although Amazon has a device named that), Apple Feature, whatever. If I picked out 10 people at work randomly I'm certain 8 of them couldn't tell me the difference between the box and the service.

The Amazon Apple Show... now that's a weird name for a product.

I started to use Apple TV+ since the launch day, most of the shows are really good, especially "the morning show", "see", "for all mankind" and recently "slow horses". I will continue to use this service and hope the price would not be getting too expensive in the future

Have subscribed to TV+ from the very beginning. Some of the shows are bad and some of them are fantastic.

The long time gap between seasons should be reduced. Severance has taken a long time. No idea when the next season of Hijack or even Sugar will be released. Will not be surprised if it takes 1.5 to 2 years from now. Will forget the story by the time next season starts streaming.

The one subscription plan makes this a good deal of those heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem. They have good quality original content and I think this is a case of where quality over quantity comes into play.

For me, it's still a niche service, catering to discerning viewers. For entertaining and general-appeal content, Netflix is still king.

I'm assuming your American and if so I can understand why you might think dropping the HBO made no sense but with their intention to launch the service outside of the US it made sense as HBO largely means very little as apart from a few places they sold their shows to the highest bidders in each country (and in some cases even partnered with foreign broadcasters so you didn't even get the prominent HBO splash on the shows). It's kind of how you would consider say House as a Fox show and not an NBC Universal show or Modern Family an ABC/Disney not a 20th Century Fox show because the channel it aired on sticks in peoples minds more than the production company

So using the HBO branding really wasn't helpful outside the US, if they were going to have something before the Max then maybe WB would have made sense simply because that is such an old brand that most of the world is aware of through classic movies and tbh thats what I would have gone for rather than just plain Max but when the HBO means nothing you may as well keep it as simple as possible

I feel AppleTV is the most consistently good of all the services, not everything will be of your taste but there is very little where the overall production is outright bad. They look good, are written fairly well, are scored well, are acted well etc. They maybe don't hit the highs as often as some others but they certainly don't have the very low lows of them either. There has even been some things that TBH the premise didn't seem up my alley but it was done well and I ended up enjoying way more than I thought, where as maybe the same type of show on another service that has had less care put into it would just bore me

The only downside is the price increases perhaps means there just isn't enough to justify the price. The US atleast has had some curated list of movies that aren't apple exclusive available but that hasn't happened outside the US (certainly not the UK) and it really could do with being taken a step further, it doesn't need to be the endless library that causes you choice paralysis at times on the likes of Netflix but if they had some movies movies plus an addition of some tv shows and for it to be globally available that would be good, it doesn't even need to be financially successful at the time content some 1 season wonders like Firefly, Freaks and Geeks, My So called life etc and more cult classic movies would bring some more worth the the current price point

American, yes. I’m curious, on the Max app in your country, is HBO at the top of your home page along with Series, Movies, and Sports as one of the content hubs?
