I have an LG oled and whenever it switches between a movie or content back to main menu it flickers off with the NO signal message for a few seconds and then comes back on. It’s more annoying with you tube when there is an ad that loads up it cuts off.

Any ideas? I can’t find it on Google.. tv is fine otherwise

Could be switching from HDR to not HDR, or resolution changes or frame rate changes. The TV needs a few seconds to adopt to such changes.

I would guess that in AppleTV settings, Video, you have Match Frame Rate and Match Dynamic Range (both) to ON. If you turned those off, you might see less of what you're seeing but then you are missing out on dynamic adjustments to how the movie is supposed to be seen. Most people would argue that both being ON is ideal.

You might just want to live with it. While it might seem like it is not good, it's probably working as it should, so that your TV can show everything as good as it can show it.

Completely normal for TVs which don’t support fast media switching (which I believe yours doesn’t and only certain Apple TV boxes do).

This is a well documented issue on here. As indicated above set Match Frame Rate and Match Dynamic Range to on and set the TV to 4K SDR. It'll switch to HDR when the content is appropriate so this'll clear up most of your YouTube flicker-to-black issues but it won't fix all of them. Much more tolerable this way, though.

Thanks Guys, I’ll try that tomorrow. Its usually tolerable but sometimes find I miss second or so if it skips the ad and goes straight into the show
