So the apple TV works great. Mirrors fine with my iPhone 5. But when I try to mirror my Macbook pro the screen go black. When I turn off mirroring it comes back.

When I mirror my iPad 3 the image displays on both the iPad and on Apple TV. If I turn mirror off, it only displays on Apple TV. I think that's the way it's designed.
