Apple TV not showing all photos

Anyone else have this problem? New Apple TV is showing only a few photos from limited albums, not my current photo stream. Is there a setting or something I've missed?

I doubt it. The photos app is one of the most disappointing parts of the new Apple TV. Can't believe it doesn't have iCloud Photo Library.

The update that will [hopefully, someday] introduce the feature. Right now it only works with Home Sharing.

For whatever stupid reason the Photos app on the Apple TV will only show albums if you share them. It's annoying and not how I expected it to work, but unless they do something about it we're stuck with it for now.

Or as already mentioned, setup HomeShare and stream them via iTunes.

Guys, I've been sharing the photos via iTunes home sharing fine, but is there no way to add some music to the slideshows or does this have to be created separately?
