I want to get an Apple TV 4th gen or newer but the problem is that I run my tv and Apple TV through an amp and speakers. This was no problem with the third generation but for the fourth generation the optical audio is missing. I’ve seen many different opinions on that on the Internet but no clear answer. Is there one device, adapter, splitter that I could buy to connect the Apple TV with optical audio? Like a hdmi to optical audio splitter? What works???

Many TV have Optical\Digital Audio out ports. So, connect ATV <HDMI> TV and TV <OPTICAL> Amp. Works well, this is how my sound bar is connected to one of my TVs.
