If you have Aperture (I haven't gotten around to iPhoto yet, iPhoto doesn't have an 
tv export function as yet which seems odd!) export as 'jpeg widescreen TV' to an AppleTV folder (subfolders by year only at this point). Aperture creates jpegs exactly at ~ 1060X728 pixels, if you want to fill full screen (as 35mm doesn't equate 16X9 format) turn on Ken Burns. Average photo is ~360kb and looks fantastic on my 720p 60inch Samsung.😀
