Hi Folks,
I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my remote. The battery seems to be ok. I'm not getting a low battery indicator on my screen at all. My remote has all functionality EXCEPT arrow right. When I hit the button, the light flashes on the Apple TV, but it doesn't respond. Has anyone every heard of this. I know I can use my iPhone as a workaround, but I would really rather use the remote.

You need a new remote. Same thing happened to me. Light flashes but no response. Changed the battery, reset, cycle the power, etc...

Purchased a new remote and works like a charm!

couple things to try, can't hurt.

try changing the ID of the remote, hit center and menu for about 5 seconds.

try unpairing the remote, hit menu and left for about 5 seconds.

try pairing the remote, hit menu and right for about 5 seconds.

or maybe paring then unparing.

The Apple TV can learn another remote. An old dvd remote gives you extra buttons too.
