My take on this show is that it found its proper form in season 3. It figured out what it was. Not a top tier Succession-ish drama, but also not dumb-ish Yellowstone-style prime time soap. It’s something in between and didn’t seem to know it. When a show doesn’t know what it is, it comes off wrong.
The first two seasons I was frequently on the verge of dropping it but the cast kept me going. Season 3 had genuinely entertaining episodes where I was like “Damn, that was good!” If they can keep that going, I’m all in.
