Breaking bad is another one I couldn’t get into watched 3 episodes 5 years ago and never went back 😂.
I remember being like that with a few TV shows to be honest: it's usually my wife convincing me to watch something. Breaking Bad, didn't like at all, then got hooked. Bridgerton I don't mind, Downton Abbey, Fargo, The Office (UK), Supernatural, even Dexter. There have been several more too.

I'm clearly just hard work and I had no idea until I just wrote those shows down. 😂

So very happy for Tramell Tillman and Britt Lower - especially for Tramell. His acting in season 2 was phenomenal.

Agree with the other comments about the show itself being awful. Nate Bargatze was a terrible host, not funny, and his schtick about taking away money from charity if a winner went over 45 secs was tacky and cringy.

I'm a big fan of Severance, but anyone saying The Pitt didn't deserve it obviously didn't watch it. One of the best shows I've seen in years. In Severance's case, sometime you're just beat by something better.

Paradise was my #3 show of the year, it deserved the nominations it got as well, especially the acting nominations for Sterling K Brown and James Marsden.

I would have voted for Severance, but I agree that the competition for best drama series was extremely tough this year.

This years show was abysmal. The hosting was awful, the writing was cringeworthy, and the money joke was old in the first five minutes.

Adam Scott, Dan Erickson, and Severance got robbed by The Pitt. I had no idea that was even a thing. I could hardly believe Noah Wylie won for a warmed over ER concept in the same darn role as he was in on ER (but with a different name). Big upset there.

You clearly didn’t watch the show—absolutely not a warmed over version of ER. These two understand. 👇🏻

Noah Wyle and The Pitt deserved their wins. The Pitt is an excellent show.

Not the same role as ER and he was exceptional. Not taking away from Adam Scott but IMO, Wylie deserved it.

You didn’t watch The Pitt so you can hardly call it warmer over. It was exceptional and absolutely worthy of a win.

Can’t wait for season 2 in Jan. That’s how you do it Apple—don’t wait 3 years between seasons please.

We’re in the middle of our 3-month free trial of Apple TV+ and are grazing through show after show. Severance didn’t do it for us but we did get through 3 entire episodes before giving up. The Studio was a more immediate turn off partially because we’re not fans of Seth Rogen but liked almost nothing else about the show either.

We did make it all the way through Slice, some of Ted Lasso, sips and tastes of many others. Net of all this is we will likely not subscribe after the free trial.

We also haven’t watched the four key awards shows (EGOT - Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) in years as none has much relevance for us. We are glad to learn Apple is getting some positive recognition for their foray into programming and huge costs to do so.

I love Severance; it is absolutely a top pick for me as far as all-time favorite shows go. But calling The Pitt a warmed over version of ER is a wild take; that show was a top-notch hospital drama, easily one of the best of all time. And Noah Wylie’s performance was fantastic; he deserved his win, as much as I personally loved Severance and want it to win all the awards just because I like the show and cast.

If you haven't seen Severance you're truly missing out on some amazing TV.
The series is mysterious, and important ;)

OK, I'll bite.

Sell me on it. What's so good about it that it's worth 17 hours of my life?

I'm not trying to be sarcastic here, I really want to know if it's good.
People were also saying that Ted Lasso is funny, but when I gave the first episode a chance, it was one of the most milque-toast attempts at storytelling I have ever seen.

While I'm a fan of Seth Rogen, after watching a few episodes of The Studio, felt it was one of the least funny sitcoms ever. But this is an art form and like all of them, individual tastes vary. Severance on the other hand is outstanding

Congratulations to Apple, but honestly, I'd love to see an interview where they explain exactly WHY they are doing TV+.

It's honestly great that they have something to put in the trophy cabinet, but surely it's at a huge loss?

I don’t care why as long as they keep going. I’m quite frustrated by much of what Apples been doing over the past few years but Apple TV+ has most of my favorite shows. They’re doing sci-fi better than anyone right now and have found their comedies often a delightful surprise (Shrinking and Bad Monkey are terrific). Slow Horses is also terrific.

Wyle handily out-acted Adam Scott.
