Apple TV shsh problems

Plugged my Apple TV on tiny umbrella and got the ECID manual

Tried to save my SSH and got this

What firmware version are you running? Two possibilities - first, if your firmware is too old you won't be able to save your SHSH blobs at all. Second (and I'm not sure about this) I don't think you can save SHSH blobs from jailbroken firmware.

I believe if you restored your AppleTV to 4.3.3 (assuming you can still currently do that - is it still 4.3.3?), you should be able to save your SHSH blobs and then JB your ATV2G. I just recently successfully JB the ATV2G with PwnageTool, along with my iPod Touch 3G.

I think 4.3 is too old to save SHSH blobs at this point. Too late. I may be wrong on this, but that's what I think is going on.

It looks like if you just restore to the current version of IOS for ATV2G, save the blobs, JB with Pwnage, and then reinstall XBMC you'll be in business. And it looks like PwnageTool may be the only way to do it currently anyways.

1 my dad has an apple tv and no shsh blobs

If he upgrade to the latest apple tv version. He cannot go back and rejailbreak right???

2 I have an iPad 2 4.3.3 and I get the same error while saving shsh blobs

Is it because the iPad 2 cannot be Jailbrokeb that I gotnthe error or there is another reason

Again, I'm no expert, but I think you have to do two things to be able to save SHSH blobs. 1) You need current firmware (currently 4.3.3.) - I'm almost certain of that. 2) You need to have your etc/hosts file pointed to Saurik's server (google that for instructions on how to do that).

If you reset your etc/hosts file properly, and you still get that error when trying to save your blobs, back up the iPad 2, and then using iTunes do a complete restore to 4.3.3, and then try saving your blobs again - I had to do a complete restore in order to get my SHSH blobs saved properly on my iPod Touch 3G (I was getting the same error message as you).

Do i need to unjailbreak it then rejailbreak or can I go straight from jailbreak to jailbreak

All I had to do was uncheck a box saying send the SHSH to Cydia

I crashed everything and i'm stucked

Seasonpass said that they got the jailbreak for the new version

So I go and restore my apple TV then update it to 4.3 (latest build)

Try to go in season pass and jailbreak and it says Script in itunes fail

Pissed off I follow the restore SHSHblob process and all goes well but when i plugged on my TV i got the big plug your apple TV to itunes

Now im stuck with latest build and no jailbreak

Ok NeXT question

My friend is still on iOS 4.2.1 on apple tv and wanna jailbreak it

When I download season pass it always tries to download 4.2.2

So

1) can I force season pass to download 4.2.1???

2 can I just find a season pass 4.2.1 custom firmware, download it put the apple tv in dfu mode and then restore it threw iTunes
