Apple TV to Aux

I just got Apple TV and would like to know what kind of adapter I need to plug my Apple TV into the aux port on my speakers, this is the ONLY way I can do this.

Audio doesn't work on my TV & my speakers only have AUX

Yes I have a Sony Sound System in my room due to the non functional TV audio (It has a volume control)

So if you could answer to this question, would the above item work?

Yes the above items should work. I use a Toslink to DD5.1 decoder and it works fine.

You need both items. One's an optical cable, the other is a DAC.
