Good find. Though I doubt this will work with Plex since the data is local and not on a cloud.

Actually Plex data is in 'the cloud' as in whatever you're running the server app on. You are thinking of Infuse, which stores metadata locally on each device. I could see Siri working for both eventually.
 
Siri search for plex would be epic though what would be nice is being able to select what search results are shown. Showing iTunes results is of no use to me but Netflix results could still be shown along with plex.

I don't see Apple allowing you to turn off iTunes search results. They want you to buy stuff.

Plex servers are local. It will be interesting to see how the Plex team would make this work. Because they are not pulling from a central database as say Netflix.

Not every Plex user has the same content or even names their files the same way. Not even Apple searches purchased content. It just gives you results whether you purchased it or not.
