Ugh, what?!? Do you even have an Apple TV4?
Siri has been available in Canada on the 4th Gen Apple TV since day one.

Really !? Maybe because I set it in French...

Still, Siri in French has existed since at least the last 5 years, I can't explain why it's not enabled on my Apple TV.

Edit : Confirmed on Apple's page. Siri on Apple TV is available in France, but not in Quebec yet............

If you don't have access to Netflix, Hulu, ABC or use iTunes or contribute money in any way, why do you think Apple would want to contribute to your hapiness using their product?

Apple is a very good company - but they are still a business. Why would they want to enable you to get all the media you want for free? Does it cost nothing for the media to be created in the first place?
The problem is that you can't get everything legally online. Oftentimes people have Plex in place for things they worry might get removed from Netflix down the line (contract ending or whatever) or things that have never been up in the first place. I buy things and rip them all the time to put into Plex so I don't have to use a physical copy every time I want to watch. I still use the legitimate services though as a first pass before I resort to that. I pay for Netflix and Hulu and Amazon Prime. I try to avoid iTunes because I don't like the idea of buy video with DRM on it (I know thats not exactly Apple's fault but it is what it is), though I have some things in there from Blurays that came with digital copies.

TLDR: people who buy a lot of media still use Plex

Sure. Your physical copy rentals have exactly what to do with the Apple TV then?

My previous statement stands.
I make a fair use rip of the physical DVD while it is in my possession. When it's time to return the DVD, I delete my fair use copy from my computer.

I'm glad you are happy with your system. If you cant see why Apple won't spend time and money to help you with this, then I guess that is your issue as there is no profit in it for them.

Yes, but Apple isn't concerned with people buying media in other forms, that is why their Apple TV platform isn't concerned with it. What is in it for them to help you out with this?

Apple has learned over and over that the more developer friendly they make their products, the better apps are. The better apps are, the more hardware people buy. And we all know Apple makes a lot more money from hardware than they do from selling movies and TV shows.

So there is a Disney Channel App for the latest Apple TV? Does anyone have it and what would be needed to sign up and use it? Is it available in Canada? I don't have cable TV so I'm trying to find substitutable Apps.
