Apple TV 3 with latest updates, and a 17" MBP Intel Core 2 Duo (2.8 GHz) running latest version of Mavericks.
The ATV3 won't wake up the mac. So when I go to "Computers" on the ATV3, I will get a message saying I need to start Homesharing on my mac, even though my mac is on and has iTunes and homesharing running. The problem is that my mac goes to sleep. So to solve it I have to get up off the couch, walk over to my mac, and hit the keyboard to wake it up, at which point the Apple TV can see the Homeshared content again.
This did not used to be the case. It used to be that my ATV3 would just wake up the mac if it was asleep. Not anymore. I definitely have "wake for network access" checked in the Energy Saver system preferences pane. I wonder if this is a Mavericks bug?
