Here is what I have and are planning:

I have Macbook pro 15" with 250G SSD, thus not a lot of storage space
    I have iPhone 4 and iPad1
I have ATV1 - lots of storage space (and disk upgradable)
I also have access to NAS server for storage if need be.
Variety of Windows PC's for the wife and kids

I want to do this now:
1: Copy all my music to the ATV1 and let it share over network so that all the PC's and my MBP can access the common library to play and add music.
2: be able to sync some songs to my iPhone,iPad and MBP for when i travel.
3: Rip CD's on any machine and have them added to the ATV library only.

    Later I want to:
get more ATV's 1 or 2 for connecting at each TV/HiFi location for playback
get some airport express to plug in at patio to play streaming music there as well.

Is this possible? If so, how? Where can I get more info? I am not worried about jailbreaking the ATV if it is really required, but would prefer not.

I am probably not explaining myself well, so please ask if you need more clarification on what I mean.

    thanks a lot in advance
