Apple tvOS 14.2 remote not working after updating

After updating to Apple tvOS 14.2 for some reason Apple TV Siri remote only menu button works the rest like Home or Play button no long work or can't exit from apps this also affected my Bose Remote which switch the function where Play/Pause, 10 sec tracking forward or back no longer works but move to the top where you move left to right arrows to choose a app to open.


Not sure what it is happening the only way I get my remotes to function normally is by holding Menu and Home button on my Apple TV Remote but after 10 minutes the same issue returns.


Can someone please help me with this problem or if anyone knows if this is a glitch with the current update and a fix is in the works.

Hey,

I had the same problem. Just disconnect the Apple TV from power for a minute and restart it. For me it worked.

Yeah that is what I have been doing it is terrible because I have to keep on doing it because it keeps switching later on. What is this glitch all about and why is it just happening to only you and me? No one else having this issue?
