I have a Sony oled and it needed adjusting. Out of the box tv’s aren’t ever right but sure.
I have an LG CX and the difference after I got it calibrated is night and day.
Weird flexmy LG OLED CX won't need this
Probably because it supports Dolby Vision. I just tried to use it on my Sony Z9F and it was grayed out for this reason. Why?
LGs aren't special in this regard. They'll still need adjustments to dial in the optimum picture.and we are talking about LG not Sony.
You can still use it in non-DV modes.Probably because it supports Dolby Vision. I just tried to use it on my Sony Z9F and it was grayed out for this reason.
Looks like it’s a smart feature. My LG TV doesn’t need color balance View attachment 1760824
Theoretically it could BUT the outline on screen requires the entire phone to be within the designated area on screen for calibration. The ipad pros with Face ID are just too big.Does it work using an iPad with face ID?
I own a lg oled C9 and the feature improved my picture so I don’t understand why you wouldn’t need it. Unless you had your panel professionally calibratedmy LG OLED CX won't need this
Finally got it, you really have to hold the phone closeYes you should set your TV to SDR and match frame rate and dynamic range, having it set to DV all the time is just fake DV for all non DV content. Anyway, I’m having an issue where it’s not recognizing my phone, I get the pop up to turn my phone around but nothing happens, and then when I get closer the proximity sensor kicks in and my iPhone goes black
Eh, I dunno. I have a C8 and I trust rtings settings more than whatever Apple thinks looks good.I own a lg oled C9 and the feature improved my picture so I don’t understand why you wouldn’t need it. Unless you had your panel professionally calibrated
Every TV is different though, even the same exact model, which is why people get independent calibrations. I’m not sure exactly how in depth Apple’s calibration is but at the very least it’s tailored to your specific TV which in theory should be betterEh, I dunno.
