Oh great 2 meters of awesomeness ... maybe they should rethink the quality of these cables...

Original iPhone PVC cable vs iPhone 4 vs iPhone 4S vs iPhone 5 cable.. totally disappointing at 8 months they turn yellow at 10 months they start to show the inner cable..

I had 3 for my iPhone 5. They are now 12 mo old... and still white and intact.

Same for my iPad 3 which is 18mo, it might be a little yellow, but intact. What did you do to them? Cut them and try stripping?

I don't know what you are doing to your cables, but it looks like it's been soaked in some acidic cat piss.

Like others here have said already, mine are pristine, white, and undamaged after 12 months usage.

No issues here with quality of the cables. Actually, I think I'll be picking up a 0.5m cable for the car, and a 2m one for my bedside table.

If proof was ever needed that Apple have completely lost their way without Steve, that 5c case is it. It's horrendous.

I have a 5yr-old cable that I still use.
And would have a 2yr-old cable hadn't my drunk friend (literally) chewed it.

And, who needs Apple cases when you have SwitchEasy?

What is with all the leather?
I can't be the only vegan/vegetarian that is disappointed with the continued use of that material.

I agree. I'm vegan too. As much as I want to pick up official Apple case for the iPhone 5. I'm turned off by the leather. Especially being as though Apple is suppose to be environment friendly.

I currently have a speck flip case which is great as you can flip the bottom and still use the 30 pin to lightning adaptor in my music dock

I however am a sucker for buying official apple accessories and will have a look at the 5S case....will it work with the iPhone 5 though? I don't see any reason why not? If they are the same size...

Those 5C cases though, it sounds a nice idea, but doesn't look right at all and seems strange as anything apple is normally sleek, so a comprise was needed it looks like but makes for a wired looking back

It clearly says at the bottom of the page that it's compatible with the original iPhone 5.

So the back of your phone says 'non' all the time.
Good job Ive, good job. Or was it the marketing department who designed it?No?

:moan: Just as I have finally gotten used to not using a dock with my iPhone, now Apple introduces one again! Sorry, not going to bite on this, nor will I be beguiled by the leather cases for the 5S......

As for the 5C: if Apple had brought out an orange one, or at least an orange case which could have been combined in a nifty way with the yellow iPhone 5C, I might have been tempted..... LOL!!!!!

You prefer petroleum based products? Ew

FYI they are not for eating.

I know that. Vegan's don't support anything that involves killing of an animal. Most leather comes from the skin of an animal, just an FYI. There are some form of leather that is made without animal skin.

Seeing as though the cows will be killed anyway for the meat, what is wrong (morally/environmentally) by using the skin instead of allowing it to thrown away? If Apple chose to go with faux leather instead of the real thing, I am willing to bet it that would not save the life of any cows. I'm not a fan if killing animals for cosmetic or superficial reasons myself, but realistically speaking allowing dead animal skin to be repurposed doesn't seem that bad to me.

So I guess neither of you are interested in the "Swiss Cheese" case for the 5C then? :D

Cows and bulls are renewable resources. Don't worry.

No, he's right. Half of mine turned yellow. The other half stayed white.

It's actually more environmental this way. After the cow is killed for its delicious meat, the skin is turned into leather, so as not to waste it.

The idea is, they don't eat meat and don't use leather. Combined, they make a whole cow that wasn't slaughtered.
