Just cut the speaker out. There are guides on YouTube, it's very easy.

Hopefully it's doable on the new model as well.

I believe one of the changes was to NOT allow the speaker to be disabled

It’s a pleasant surprise when Apple maintains its previous price point when updating products. This has always been a good deal at 30 bucks with an easily replaceable battery. (The Apple-branded accessories for it less so, but that’s what third-party options are for.)

New AirTag has a Microphone onboard and does random tests to see if the speaker has been tampered with. If it doesn’t hear the required chime diagnostic test it bricks itself.

For me, modernizing it with faster CPU, more RAM and (hopefully) support for the popular AV1 codec used by some major streamers.

No streaming service offers Atmos True HD; it's only available from physical Blu-ray discs or ripped media. So I doubt Apple will support it. Current generations could easily support it. How do you plan to connect your Apple TV to Blu-ray? 🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻🤦🏻

So if I have an iPhone with 26 on it, and another iPhone with 18 on it, can I add this airtag to my account using iOS26 and then use the findMy app on iOS 18 with it?
