If this had been a 4.5-4.7 inch screen with all of the listed features they actually put into the phone... The stock would be up 28 bucks.

Apple is just baffling to me.

Stock prices always fall as news come out as people sell off. This is not news, and is not an effect that could have been reversed by a larger screen. People buy on the rumors, and sell on the news.

Look it up.

I have to agree. 4" is kind of small and called "mini" nowadays. 4.7" seems to be the perfect size for most and Apple's design and fit and finish is still the best in the industry.

The fingerprint sensor is potentially useful and unique, but outweighed by the screen size.

Also, 720p video is truly lame nowadays, when virtually every TV is 1080p and so is virtually every midlevel Android phone.

When you have 40% of American households that have HDTVs STILL only watching standard definition cable on it, I think there is a lot of education that needs to be done on the difference between 480p, 720p, and 1080p before we can assume that just having 1080p makes everything alright.

It doesn't. Especially if you're sitting too far back from your HDTV to see 1080p anyway! And, 1080p video on a smartphone means nothing because average human eyesight cannot see the added detail. It's a spec in that case. Nothing else. The only way it would make a difference would be if you're outputting that 1080p video to your 55" 1080p HDTV that you, in turn, sit no more than 7 feet away from.

This is just silly. I am not a fanboy at all but people can't compare Cook to Jobs. Tim is a CEO of a company it is not his job to come up with ideas for products. He didn't grow up like Steve and had the sight like him. He's a business man that's it.

+1!

It's something to impress people who dribble over spec sheets while the smart ones in the corner have the phone in their hands and are testing the user experience.

I agree Tim Cook is a poor CEO for Apple and they need to see about getting a more dynamic person to replace him. He comes off as an insecure nervous poor public speaking individual. I think he'd make a good school guidance counselor with his overly dramatic tones of describing stuff. :)

Once in a while The Onion hits it out of the park but I thought this current one was mean-spirited and not really funny.

Now this one.. that's a classic.

What you guys want is not what everyone else wants. Also, 1080p is worthless on any phone. A Motorola Engineer behind the Moto X even said the eye can't tell the difference and that companies use it as a spec sheet selling point.
