Apple today updated its Apple Store app for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, adapting the app for the two larger-screened devices. The new version of the app also includes an iOS compatibility update.

While the iPhone 6 update doesn't bring a lot of visual changes, it has a much cleaner look due to the fact that it's no longer artificially zoomed in, as seen in the comparison screenshot below.

Apple's last major update to the Apple Store app came in early September, redesigning the look of the app and making it easier for users to make purchases.

The Apple Store app can be downloaded from the App Store for free. [Direct Link]

Even though most early reviewers said they couldn't tell a difference between native apps and scaled ones, the difference is obvious to me. Looking forward to seeing more major apps bring iPhone 6 updates.

too bad Apple didn't tell Apple to update their apps screen sizes prior to the delivery of the new iPhones.

Too bad they didn't update their website. Did any of you try to order an iPhone 6 on your iPhone 5 using the website (not their app)? It was awful.

Is the title now sufficiently tongue-twisty without having any portion which isn't grammatically sound? Kind of like "Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo"?

Now, wouldn't it be wonderful if you could use Touch ID to access your account information in the app, without having to manually type your password every time??:apple::apple:

Just what I was going to say. Come on Apple, you should be showcasing your technology at every opportunity! If you don't use it, do you really expect other devs to?

I'm breaking out the good Scotch tonight to celebrate this massive development. ;)

Tomorrow: What's that? The dog didn't pee on the rug today? I'm breaking out the Scotch!

Friday: The mail came today?? Bring on the Scotch!

Saturday: Good news! I found my pants! Scotchibration!

Why no TouchID support? It's YOUR own app, Apple! WTF! Every time I want to check an order, I have to type a password. Ughhhh.

YES, YES, YES!!

Kinda expected it on launch day. Really? It took this long for you to update your own app for your own phone?

but didn't other developers spot ability to use larger sizes? and others had the same week to do it.

I know, working on designs take time. coding and testing takes time too.

though, i will say it looks even nicer. the update a while back looked great and this is keeping it to that level.

That is one of the benefits of being on the s cycle :)

Did they update the store so you can actually order the TMo unlocked version from the App....you know, like they should have done on 9/12?

I show my friends what a fixed app looks like vs a old app and they can't tell the difference, and they think I'm crazy.

My 78 year old stepfather claims he can't tell the difference between SD and HDTV on a 65 inch screen.

I can say with confidence that he's the crazy one.
