For those that can't see it in Software update, it's because 3.3 requires 10.7.4 in order to install. Apple is really starting for coerce SL users to upgrading. =/

Yet another slap in the face from apple. Some joker with Vista can use iCloud. Snow Leopard? Not so much.

Vista has a larger install base on its own than all versions of OS X. Not very surprising.
... and thus more than lion. What's your point? We should think it's fine to not have access to our contacts and calendars because we prefer to use a fantastic, functional OS instead of a buggy, slow, ugly kludge of a beta? (lion) I get that lion works better on 2011-2012 machines, but guess what- on my 2009 MBP, I can run almost twice as many things without a hiccup and have an extra HOUR of battery life (not to mention pro features like working drag-and-drop and exposé). Apple screwing everyone who doesn't like the forced upgrade to Lion is a really terrible move, and has no real benefit.

Also, remember that these syncing services worked before in the form of mobile me, and could still work fine in SL. There is no technical reason for Apple stiffing us.

iPhoto 9.3 does not seem to import AVCHD 1080p; only 1080i and 720p.

Anyone interested in importing AVCHD into iPhoto 9.3 needs to be aware that iPhoto 9.3 seems to support only AVCHD Lite (720p) and AVCHD (1080i). It does not seem to support AVCHD Progressive (1080p); it does not even show it in the list of camera files to import from. Attempts to manually copy folders from the camera memory result in lots of messages about unsupported file formats, similar to the ones Apple say you will get if you do not exactly follow their instructions for which folder(s) to copy.

In my camera, a Panasonic FZ150, after choosing “AVCHD” for “REC MODE”, the user can choose from three setting for “REC QUALITY”, which are: “PSH" (1080p), “FSH” (1080i) and “SH” (720p), all at 60 fps. Other recent cameras supporting AVCHD should have similar choices, so if AVCHD import to iPhoto is not working for you, I suggest you check which form of AVCHD you are using.

Apple was vague about this in their description at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5251, and just said “AVCHD”.

Unless this is a problem unique to my camera and/or iPhoto library, Apple should have said: "AVCHD Lite and AVCHD only; not AVCHD Progressive." (And probably not AVCHD 3D either!)

I asked Apple today (19 June 2012) to clarify this in their website, in iPhoto, and in all documents describing iPhoto.

Don't know if anyone has noticed but when you now swipe between photos in iPhoto it gives you the same animation you get in safari going back and forth through web pages. (not sure if this is the same for Aperture)

Slick.

hm nothing in my software update yet

Wondered why it wasn't showing up in software update for me

Nice(ish) knowing you Aperture but its goodbye from me as SL users are unable to upgrade to 3.3

There is good or better out there so no hardship, i'am still keeping SL on my Macs
