I think he's trolling. Logic never has this problem.
I guess I need to make some video proof at some point. I think the fact that Logic goes so far as to warn you not to try and open multiple projects simultaneously is good enough evidence that even its developers don't trust it to manage without crashing.

It's madness. That and the fact that changing the buffer size forces all of my plugins to reload (and on some occasions has caused Alchemy to go back to the basic preset sound).

Logic is very much a DAW I have a love / hate relationship with.

Logic is BY FAR the best Apple App ever made (best overall Mac App is Pixelmator). I bought Logic 8 and have never looked back. Considered Cubase at the time but seemed to very buggy over in the Cubase forums. But to be fair Logic 8 was accused of being "too Garageband" by Logic 7 users. But at the time I was only using Garageband and LOVED the "easy interface" on a much more powerful App. This was THE MAIN REASON I bought LP8 ($500 at time...hey LP7 was $1000). I like to spend all my time on creation and inspiration and not fighting a "tool". Logic has NEVER fought me.

The best app they bought and then ditched the Windows version much to the chagrin of many people :)

Edit: I misread you, but yes I agree.

Really? I find if I open multiple projects, switching between them causes it to reload all of the plugins every time, so it takes ages / locks up. Same thing when I change sample rate. I'm certain this isn't because of my setup but rather how Logic is designed. Studio One doesn't do this.
Never had problems with it reloading plugins either. Maybe you have a bum plugin / plugin set?

I don't - it reloads plugins when you change buffer sizes. It'll do this even with the stock effects. When you have a big project (say 90 or so tracks as did my most recent one) it can take quite a while to do this.

Final Cut is anything but consumer-ish. I just delivered a 90-minute documentary we cut exclusively with FCPX.
You're right that, unfortunately, it's not taken as seriously as it should be in the industry. That has been changing. But the botched release ruined it for a lot of people who have never given it a second chance.
It is, on the whole now, as capable or more than Premiere and Avid. I wish more people would give it a fair shake because it is a DELIGHT to use
I've spent a good amount of time with I and had a mostly favorable experience. I'm not a fan of the "magic timeline". I see the benefits but I am much quicker using tracks. I started editing with A/B roll SVHS systems way back when, so tracks make more sense for me. You can treat it like a track editor which is nice, but it still isn't using it correctly. I just think they took a professional tool that worked well and adapted it to be more consumer oriented at the same time trying to tell you how to edit. The drag and drop effects are nice, but they make you lazy and end up looking the same as everyone else. That is pure laziness on the editors part, but you can tell when someone has made something in Final Cut X by those filters. For me it just seemed like iMovie Pro and less like the next generation of Final Cut. Clearly the industry has abandoned it for a reason. Probably because Apple is trying to tell people how to work and since Apple isn't making films all day...they don't know why their ideas are sometimes not correct.

That was a relatively quick turn around for a pretty big bug. I was all in to use track alternatives... but I nearly lost a couple hours of work due to this bug. Kind of weird that this big of a bug got through...but at least it's fixed now.

Logic Pro is the main reason I use a mac. Apple seems to take care of it's audio products. And iPads really have has killer apps in the music production world. It's not for me... but the iPad is a great music tool. Audio for whatever it is is something Apple gets... Or maybe this is all the result of the Logic team and Apple is wise enough to let them do their thing to make great software.
