Apple today changed the subscription management interface on the iPhone and iPad, introducing a refreshed look that adds spacing between each subscription and it makes it clearer which subscriptions are active and inactive.

Tapping into a subscription provides details on the price of the subscription and when it is set to renew, plus the interface provides options to resubscribe to an expired subscription. Renewal buttons are more prominent than before, as are cancel buttons and options to change subscription plans for services like Apple One, Apple TV, and Apple Music.

The new subscription interface can be seen on devices running iOS 15.5 and later, including those with the iOS 16 beta. It does not appear to be available on iOS 15.4, so it may be limited to those with newer updates. No software update is required to see the refreshed interface because it loads a webview that Apple revamped.

The updated subscription interface is more in line with the rest of the Settings app changes that Apple made with iOS 15 and earlier updates, providing a simpler, more streamlined management system.

You can access the Subscriptions interface by opening up the Settings app, tapping on your profile picture, and then selecting "Subscriptions."

I just wish Apple provided developers more control over subscriptions and transactions. We have multiple apps on the App Store that utilize subscriptions as the main way of monetization and dealing with customers is a nightmare.

At the very least developers should be able to refund users (Google Play supports this), look up a transaction to ensure the user paid, have a way to directly cancel a subscription from the app or through an API instead of redirecting users to the subscription list, and also maybe clearer SDK that allows you to call something like `isProductIdActive` to see if user has an active subscription to a certain product. Currently it just tosses you a list of transactions and pretty much says "good luck figuring out which transaction is still active"

This appears 'new' for the US ONLY.

In Australia, it has looked this way for some time. I'm guessing Australia was a test market for the updated interface.

I've been waiting for them to bring this in line with the UI layout of iOS. Now, there is the Purchases mid page to do, and the Account page to do... leaving old iOS lines behind.

Nope, new to the UK also, wasn’t there in the past week or so.

Would really like a way to combine multiple subscriptions into one monthly charge. Should be relative easy for them to show one pro-rated charge and then what your monthly payment will be with current subscriptions.
