Apple Updating iTunes U With New Course Creation and Discussion Features for iPad

This is very nice, but it is utopian, that the whole class have an iDevice. I know, they can use a PC with iTunes on it but a Android-, Windows or even a Web-Version of iTunes U would make this thing really serious.

It's already a serious platform. Entire curricula are available on iTunes U.

What would be utopian would be to expect Google or Microsoft (or Samsung) to sponsor a similar platform for their hardware or OSes.

Otherwise, realize that Android tablet you bought doesn't give you access to this content, it was part of the trade off you made at the time you made your purchasing decision.
