Originally went to the Apple Store and they couldn't find my reservation. We were there an hour or so before they could (when the apple executive team called them). Apparently it was under a different system.
They did give us a free case for all the trouble.
Overall, it was a poor customer experience by anyone's definition, but we did get our phones and everyone was very friendly.
Hopefully next year things improve.
