I can’t remember the last Apple non-accessory I’ve paid for in full up front. If you can afford to pay something off over time interest free why not do that? Of course with Apple raising prices this will probably be how they introduce products now. Instead of presenting the full price they’ll show a monthly amount and the full price will be in fine print.
I bought my 17 through PayPal pay in 4 because they were offering a 20% discount

Even if someone can afford to buy the device outright, getting a zero percent interest loan to finance the purchase over a 24 or 36 month period isn't a bad idea.
Or pay cash from Amazon, Microcenter, Costco, etc. when they discount new Apple h/w... they're more or less removing the financing mark-up built into Apple's list prices.

Technically we have to reenroll each year when we get a new phone, so I have a feeling those of us in the 1UP Program through Apple will still fall under this change sadly which sucks. I love how smooth it is through Apple and Citizens One.
Oh dang, you're correct. It's been so seamless, so smooth, for so many years, I guess I forgot that [important] detail. Again, dang.

Anyone think we’ll see a price hike on the current iPhone lineup with this new program? Or are we pretty confident Apple will hold prices until September? I definitely see this move— especially the options for iPads and Macs— being a way to try to make these more expensive devices seem more “affordable”.
