Apple Upgrades AirPods Charging in iOS 26

I really wish Apple would provide more information about AirPod status on request. Maybe add some functionality to an existing app or Settings.

That and the ability to more easily update the firmware of them

I know it's every now and then that they get new firmware, but the fact that we've had these for as long as we've had now and it's not very clear cut to update them is just crazy

My iPhone has been doing this for the past couple of iOS releases. I don't think it's a new feature?

I don't think I've seen mine do it prior to now the betas of iOS 26, so if I'm not mistaken, I think it is a new feature

Clean them, and the case, using alcohol wipes, and make sure you get down into the slots the stems sit in. Even if they look clean. This fixes charging problems like 90% of the time.
