I was able to order one from Best Buy, I got them to price match the white one from Belkin sold at the Apple store.
It's the same one Apple sells just in a black color, so I would think so.Will that work on the new macbook pros?

You are welcome!OK great, I wasn't sure if it was the same thing due to the color difference. I'll order one now. Thanks for your help.
Instantly recognized or does it take a while?

Believe it or not, this may be the best (portable) all around adapter for Macbook Pros:

Thank you for the reply.I have them for my Dell XPS, but I'm still waiting for my Macbook Pro to be delivered. It works great for the XPS. And two reviewers claim it works great on 2016 Macbooks.

From what I read, it won't drive both monitors at the same tine, even on Windows. Also, for the VGA adapter, one caveat, you can't connect the adapter to the Mac with the VGA cable attached already. First you must plug in the adapter, then plug in the VGA cable.
