Apple USB-to-Ethernet Adapter

After updating to Mac sierra (10.12.1) my usb-ethernet adapter is getting self assigned IPs. Running on a MacBook (Retina, 12in, Early 2015). Anyone having the same issue and/or solution?

Set IP4v to manual in the drop-down list, assign IP address as you wish.

More worrying is the lack of an Admin Lock on your panel???
