For a long time I noticed this with Apple videos be it iTunes or the trailers app...
The video takes some time to load, if you choose to forward/rewind, skip, pausing, or scroll in the timeline it freezes or stutters. I find myself having to stop the stream and relaunching again. There is no issue if you just let it play start to finish, but once you start fiddling with the timeline it starts to happen.
YouTube and Netflix has butter smooth play as you skip around the time line. Its almost instant.
Any one know why is this? Is there a fix? is it possible I have a slow connection?
