Why would you care about other's stupidity? If you cannot afford it... it is not for you... (I consider anything that has no functional basis to be stupid).
Affordability aside, the gold front piece looks like it covers up cameras and sensors, rendering the Vision Pro useless.
As they said, they are turning it into a work of art... it does not have to be functional... just like nice on the shelf where it is permanently located. It is not like it needs to be a protective case, you don't protect a piece of a replaceable piece of electronics with something 3+ times the price of what it is supposedly protecting... but then that is not really what it is meant to do... If you are one of the lucky 24 people who have money to spend on this, you can buy this and put it on the display shelf and another 3 units for actual use. (not to mention they likely don't have access to a device, it was just announced with a short demo -- so they have not had time to do a functional design anyway).
