most likely the store you are checking doesnt have the training / staff / or equipment to do demos for whatever reason. I am in the situation where the store closest to me has zero appointments available, but the five neighboring stores all come up with what day I want etc.. so I got to believe my store just isnt doing them period.
Trying to understand why you would take up other people's time just so that you can laugh at them? seems rude at best. Sure its okay if you are just curious to check it out knowing for whatever reason you aren't going to buy regardless, but in that case I wouldn't laugh at them, I probably would have informed them up front that was what I was doing, just checking it out with no intention of purchasing. Seems reasonable.
I know I looked at one online the other day after reading how great it was. still decided to go APV instead. I am comfortable with my apple account. Not so comfortable with having to make a Meta account for Zuck to mine. But I do think you are on to something, no doubt meta will see an uptick as the APV brings attention to the area in general.
Maybe their servers are getting hammered. I keep getting a Sorry, something went wrong. screen after entering my AppleID. Anyone else?
I’m running into the same problem. I used my friend’s phone with a different appleID and I was able to book an appointment just fine. It was very weird.
Insane, there are so many appointments available for next week here in CA....wow...I donno what that means for the general interest in this product....
Yeah… Maybe it’s residual from the iCloud outages earlier in the week (or was that last week)? Either way… Looking forward to demoing at some point.
I think it means that it's limited -- as most interest in this space tends to be (pretty niche).
Of course, Apple charging through the roof for their offering is also a major factor. I'm sure a lot more folks would be intrigued at say "$1,500"
Weird(er). Earlier this morning, I kept running into the sorry, something went wrong message after inputting my AppleID. Couldn’t get any further. Just tried again, selected. Y store, time slot, hit Reserve and received the same Sorry… message. Getting closer?
No! These are specifically designed for AVP! I know, I'm shocked too.Yes - They are called "iPad Apps"
What I mean is that they are just blown up iPad Apps and "optimized" for how you have to interact with things on AVP
Really none of them (or very few that I'm aware of) are actually AVP first/only, ground up, truly new experiences
