Wearing Apple's Vision Pro for 30 minutes put red mark on the forehead of WSJ's gadget reviewer.

Apple Vision Pro: The Headset That Leaves A Mark On You.

It’s the HomePod white circles on wood all over again!

But seriously this will happen wearing something tight to your face, a bit like I get sweaty ears after wearing headphone cans too long. Maybe your skin gets used to it after a while?

OMG, goggle face as the new fashion statement.

Of course we need Steve Martin to promote this, so we can all have a laugh when everyone ends up cross-eyed from wearing these.

It should be noted that Apple explicitly said they’re still working on different sizing of the light shield for launch, likely because the variety they had for the demos were the lowest common denominator.

Much like the watch bands come in different sizes so will some of these.

So this is a good “har har” laugh on the internet, but it’s not something to seriously be concerned about.

*nods in agreement*

Apple has already responded noting that they will offer more sizing options for the light shield once the device is released.

I have been listening to so many podcasts post-WWDC I could be confused, but I want to believe I have heard that you can also order a custom-fitted light shield for it using a scan of your face using the FaceTime camera.

A few testers said it felt heavy on their forehead and nose after 15-30 mins.

First-gen device, it's not going to be perfect.

That's kinda what they made it sound like at WWDC but maybe they'll just use an iPhone to scan your face in order to automatically find the best option. Trying out a lot of different options would just be too large a hassle, a time waster and not particularly hygienic in an Apple Store.

For people reacting to the photoshopped version, here's what the actual photo looked before being dramatically enhanced:

I've woken up far more mangled by pillows than that...
Yes, that’s what I remember when I saw the original video. What the OP posted was not only a complete lie, but a horrible photo edit.

The slight redness could have been caused by a number of different things — tightness to face, skin sensitivity, products on skin (makeup, moisturizer), sensitivity to material.
