Call me crazy, but I kinda want wired EarPods with ANC.

John, please make it happen. 🙏

Belkin sells the Soundform ANC for $30, and Asus sells the ROG Cetra II for about $100. Those are the only two current ANC wired headphones I know of, both use USB-C. There were other older wired 3.5mm headphones from the likes of Sony and Bose but they are long since discontinued.

love the pro 2 it still the best but pro 3 is long battery lil bass on like idk both good and pro 3 ears fit more better on pro 3 ....

Had to fiddle around with the ear tips a bit, switching between medium and large. Large fit better in the end, and now they sound and work fine.

It's really interesting how different people's ears can be lol. I had APP2s and was changing in the airplane lavatory and forgot I had them in - when I inadvertently flipped them off taking off my shirt one flew right into the toilet 😵 So I ordered up the 3s and MAN they are SO much more comfortable in my weird-ass ears. Love em.

Macrumors forum was caught off guard how Apple Was Caught Off Guard by AirPods Pro 3 Popularity

Macrumors seems to have been caught off guard by not remembering that there was a lot of disagreement about whether or not AirPods Pro 3s would be released in2025 at all.

So, perhaps a more correct interpretation of Cook’s comments is that they eventually decided to launch in September 2025 with the stock they had, rather than wait until they had more later in the year or early 2026.

They knew there would be demand as it had been 3 years since the release of the 2s, so perhaps they decided that getting them released despite some constraints was the best thing to do.

Honestly I have been caught off guard how much I would like and use AirPods 3

I have had AirPods Max since day one and never considered buying anything else. Sure I thought about AirPods Pro to have something compact if needed but I still had PowerBeats Pro for the gym etc. so I felt I needed AirPods Pro.

This Christmas I got them as a gift - total surprise - and first I thought sure I try them out and see how it goes. At first I didn’t use them that much but now I use them EVERY DAY.

I’ll still use AirPods Max for movies on iPad/AppleTV and on flights for ANC. For every day use AirPods Pro are just too portable, too comfortable and overall too good to ignore.

I was caught off guard how terribly they fit in the ear. They were returned and back to the lovely APP2 with foam comply tips.
The 2' worked were a perfect fit for me, the 3's not so much. Tried the new comply tips but the noise reduction is not as good as with the original tips. Thinking of going backwards to the 2's - they are working better at Sequoia too.

One could read how out of touch Apple is from their basic, default consumerbase. Has been for a few years now.
Not hating, just making an observation from someone who used to enjoy products made by Cupertinofrom 2005 to about 2018.

I wasn't caught off guard. I have three sets of nicely fitting (air) earbuds (Lenovo, Huawei, Xiaomi) and still have quite a bit of money left in my pockets. 🙂

What I find weird looking at people who wear them, is how far they stick out, vs any other airpods, pro or otherwise
I had this as well and returned them twice. I've tried a third time after researching a bit and noticed that the tips I was using were far too big. So I went from M to XS so that they actually go quite deep into the ear canal.

Now they don't fall out anymore and they also don't stick out (and ANC works great). It does take a bit to get used to the feeling though.

Funny that people try them for a day and return them — give your ears time to adjust, as they do fit and feel different than APP2. I didn't like the fit at first either, now I love them, and in my experience they stay in 200% better than APP2.

I have the AirPods 3 that I got in early January 2026. With the current 3B34 firmware it seems to generally work very well, especially with surprisingly good bass.

That's strange not to predict they would be popular. They are far and away the best product in a crowded market -- better musically, better transparency, better noise control, better battery life, better connectivity, better looks, better fit. The price is insanely low for the quality, too.

Even in the domain of over-the-ears headphones they're superior to everything but a handful of rivals.

Amen. And I am feeling heavy nostalgia for the iPod classic right now.

Just a simple device that plays music - via a headphone jack and physical controls.

No notifications. No apps. Just my music (and podcasts but not with video support, that's going too far).

Please bring it back Apple.

If you 'have to' retrofit support for Apple Music (and usb-c), I still would forgive you.
