I just downloaded the update but will have to wait until I get home to install it since the watch has to be on the charger even though my charge is at 85% right now.

I think the servers are inundated. Just give it some time.

Whilst mine was downloading I got the notification to say that the update was available.. mid way through download it turned back to 1.0 was the latest version.

I think they stopped distribution for a while to let the servers catch up. I'm sure it'll be back soon.

Yep, just wait awhile and it will show up. And just so you don't have to think about it much, you may just want to wait until tomorrow or the day after.

Someone mentioned in another thread that restarting both the phone and the watch made the update appear. Not sure if it was a coincidence or not but you could try that.

If the watch is close to phone the watch will make a ding sound saying then on the watch it will say Update available. I had no problems updating my apple watch to the update watch os version, it just seems a little strange on it is done.

OK, I cracked it.

I had the iOS BETA profile installed on the Watch, and that was preventing it from seeing the 1.0.1 update.

Deleted the profile from within the Watch App, rebooted and now it see's the update. downloading now.....

Will reinstall the beta profile afterwards....
