I dont know what it caused. I dont recall any swimming in lakes or sand. ;) Only used the public pool.
Ohhh so the chlorine caused an effect like that…
I don’t have any issues on my gold SS Apple Watch Series 6 after I swim a few times in the hotel pool and in my cousins house with the saltwater treated pool. Not even the back of my watch deteriorating

I don’t know if it was the chlorine. Might have been my everyday sweat from yoga. Good should be fine. Gold has been fine on watches that made it through decades.

Do you clean your Apple Watch after every run, workout or swim?

I usually do that and I use a screen cleaner spray and a cleaning cloth. I also clean the strap and swap it out.
