Current 42mm Apple Watch has a 0.94Wh battery. Supposed new one (on left of the photo) is 1.28Wh.

I would welcome this. I know the Watch generally doesn't have a battery life issue to get through a day, but when I use it for workouts I usually have to top it up at one point.

Anyway, who knows how legit it is.

Just like more closet space, more money, better looks, better health and prolonged youth....who wouldn't? :D:D:D

Actually that is over 30% and would be substantial. Especially for people who seldom use GPS. Hope it is accurate/true.

EDIT: Also that looks like about 330mAh for comparison

So, can anyone explain how much significant increase is this? I'm not an Apple Watch owner but I am considering in getting one. I have been using Fitbit HR for over a year now and I really find it convenient not to always charge my device every day. Another reason I like my Fitbit is because I can wear it while I sleep and set up the vibrating alarm instead of the sound alarm in the morning (it helps not to wake up the kids when you wake up at 4AM).

However, I am an apple fan so I would like to consider on getting an AW2, but if the battery is not significantly improved I'll have second thoughts. I get 3-4 days on my Fitbit before charging, I'll be happy if the AW2 have 2-3 days without charging.

Thanks!

wonder if the batteries would be able to swap out? AW2 battery in AW1.

Yes, just push and hold the Digital Crown and say 'Siri eject the battery'. Then fly to China and locate the OEM supplier and purchase a replacement. Just push it in and use 4 drops of super glue to reseal and you are all set.
